Radu Nagy
I had the chance of being “exposed” to spiritual practices since the age of 6, when my father would take me to his yoga exercises teaching me the “Sun Salutation”. At the same age I stepped on the path of Music, enchanted by the sound of the cello and embarking on a journey that now, after 50 years, is still unfolding.
During adolescence, being part of a study group of the Institute for Parapsychology, I learned relaxation and autosuggestion techniques, concentration and visualization. After the fall of the communist wall, I was able to satiate my thirst for knowledge, dedicating myself with all my energy to the search for Truth. Thus I have read everything that I could find but, most of all, I practised the disciplines that attracted me since always – Dowsing, Bioenergy, Reiki, meditation, Yoga, TaiChi and QiGong.
The cello took me beyond the ocean to America where I had the opportunity to grow as an artist, fulfilling my dream to study with consecrated musicians, living legends, obtaining my Master in music, and playing concerts on all continents. The next milestone of my musical journey I spent in Italy where I gathered experience in the great orchestras, imbuing myself with the unique beauty of the Italian landscapes and culture.
2009 I came into touch with shamanism, being part of the first promotion of the School Medicina Samanica Romania, under the guidance of Chris Waters. It was as if the affluents of a river would flow into the “mother stream”, everything settling down and becoming harmonious. Becoming assístant and member of the Team of the School, I stepped into teaching, accompanying students and colleagues on this path.
Since 2015 I am active in teaching the Medicine Wheel in Romania and Germany, and organizing and holding workshops together with the Q´ero Shamans that we met on our initiatic journeys to Peru. There too I met Jorge Luis Delgado, keeper of the Aymara tradition, from whom I learned the Solar Practices from the Titicaca Lake.
At the present I live in Berlin where I teach shamanism and cello, giving concerts, improvizing and composing theatre music for children. Together with Miruna, we come back often and with joy to the places where our roots are, bringing our gifts and experience from several decades of search and practice. We are committed in building a community of free and open minded people who have the tools for fulfilling their ideals and contributing to the birth of an awakened and peaceful humanity.
Through music and spirituality I learned that the most beautiful way of enriching oneself is to give.
I have been active since 2012 at the “Theater Morgenstern” for Children in Berlin, composing, improvising and creating the music for pieces that are viewed by over 20 000 children per year, collaborating directly with the director and actors in the creation of theater pieces like: “Budy and Carl”, “A Christmas Tale” by C. Dickens, “Wanja the strong”, “The fourth Advent at 4 in the morning”. “The Secret of the House”, “Asphalt” and “Superrich”.
